I got outside with my ol' faithful Nikon, take a few shots and send some good thoughts to love ones.

Think outside the barn
Location: Etters, Pennsylvania
There's a saying in Malay, "Seperti katak di bawah tempurung" which literally translates into "Like frog underneath coconut shell." What it means is that a frog which under a cocunut shell thinks that the shell is all its world. Hence, it's used to describe one (like the frog), who has no knowledge of the happenings outside his world.

This shot was taken two weeks ago on a Monday. It was the same day I got this book, "Gracious Christianity" as a token of appreciation for being on the alumni panel on the topic of "Life after Graduation." Allow me to share some words from this book.
"Friendship goes much deeper than agreement. It reaches down to the most basic levels of loyalty, faithfulness, and trust. Friends are willing to let one another be who they are, but they also encourage one another to a higher plan of living. Perhaps most of all, friends speak truthfully to one another." -- Gracious Christianity by Douglas Jacobsen & Rodney J. Sawatsky

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine as children do.
It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
-- Marianne Williamson

Peaceful night, Restful soul
Location: Etters, Pennsylvania
"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet

Appreciate beauty
Location: New Cumberland, Pennsylvania
Sometimes, we take things for granted.
Sometimes, shutting down your computer, going outdoor (even when it's freezing cold) makes perfect sense.
Sometimes, a quite companionship is all you need.
Sometimes, beauty emerge from the seemingly most ordinary.
p/s - Sometimes, out of 300 shots, a lucky one looks decent to put up on my blog. :)

A Nostalgic Covered Bridge
Location: Grantham, Pennsylvania
A poem by Architect Moshe Safde:
"He who seeks truth shall find beauty
He who seeks beauty shall find vanity
He who seeks order shall find gratification
He who seeks gratification shall be disappointed
He who considers himself the servant of his fellow being will find the joy of self expression
He who seeks self expression shall fall into the pit of arrogance
Arrogance is incompatible with nature
Through nature and the nature of the universe and the nature of man we shall seek truth
If we seek truth, we shall find beauty."
